Monday- Today is Sheryl’s memorial service. My thoughts have lingered with her family, and especially her sweet sister who is traveling to Kansas from Alabama. It all seems so surreal. I was just there with her. I can still hear her voice in my head. She is going to be missed. Darby’s Birthday Today is Ms. Darby’s 8th birthday. …

May 23, 2019
Well, this week flew on past. Monday Monday was my weekly Lyme treatment. Those are pretty quick each week. One more treatment and I can go to every other week. I’m honestly a little nervous about the appointment with the hematologist a week from now to begin the process of figuring out how to deal with chronic anemia. The paperwork…
Sheryl’s Obituary
Sheryl’s obituary ran in the paper this week. I’m thankful to the Lord for the peace He has been so good to give.
The Kansas Trip
I mentioned visiting my friend Sheryl, in my last post. Paul and I had decided before we arrived at her home that we would not stay past 5pm because I knew she would be tired. Of course, when do those plans ever actually work out when you are with a friend?! We did leave a little before dark. We weren’t…
Sheryl
May 22, 2019 I lost a dear friend today. I’ve requested prayer many times over the last couple of years for one of my longest and best friends. She has battled a cancer for years that doctors told her would take her life in months. In true Sheryl style, she lived to see her 50th wedding anniversary, the…

So I missed a week. I guess it will take some time to get back into the blogging groove, but for now, here are a few things from last week. We took Emma to the doctor on Monday. That arm ended up being broken in three places. They want to see her again in a couple of weeks for…
May 6-12, 2019
I haven’t done a week in review in a very long time. Paul has been encouraging me to step back into blogging. I told him I just wasn’t sure I had words anymore. He said, “just start.” So, here I am. 😀 (Even though it is a week behind, lol.) Monday- “The Monday Reset” For as long as I can…
Thoughts for Today…
I’m still here, just in the middle of a very long season of my life. The babies are growing, the house is changing. There are dishes and laundry and family to care for each day. Hopefully, I will be able to update soon. Until then, I pray for so many of you, as the Lord brings you to mind. God…
Mother’s Day and a Changed Life
Mother’s Day is approaching. There are many, still very raw thoughts, and many feelings. I realize I probably share more than most are comfortable with, or even care to read. 😀 This time of year, it is easy to think on my mom and her passing. I’m still very much grieving. I’m not sure you ever really stop grieving over…
May 2, 2018- Five Years
Time Hop, on Facebook, can be cruel sometimes. While it reminds us of some of the most exciting times of our lives, it also reminds us of some of the most difficult. This morning, the posts are about the night my mom passed. Waiting on the paramedics as they worked, and pleading for prayer. The flood of emotions as I…
Our Week in Review- February 25, 2018
Our Week in Review… A page turn for our family. I know these posts are long- I’m trying to be more careful about remembering the happenings each day. I’m just bringing each of you along on the ride.:) Feel free to just pick a day to read, if you would like! If you are staying for the entirety of our…
