saying thank you

A most wonderful birthday gift arrived yesterday…. Oh, my! This is going to be SO good. (…and if you live in an area that doesn’t have Gigi’s, I’m truly sorry.) Thank you, again! There are going to be some super-excited Lamberts! 😀

traveling with my honey….

A DAY after we returned from our trip to Kentucky, I left for Texas with Paul. We had such a good time. It’s been more than a year since I’ve gone on a work trip with him. I spent the time while he worked, planning our next school year, making menus and soaking up the sun. It was relaxing and…

from our trip last week….

The children LOVED the hotel pool during our recent vacation. Having never been in a big pool, Meredith was a little scared at first. By the time we left, she was swimming from one side to the next (still with water wings) and having the time of her life!

prayer

I had some pretty extensive testing done yesterday at our local hospital. They found some things, not surprising, but they are an issue. I wanted to ask for prayer. Thank you!

mama’s birthday

I guess this day has been easier than I originally thought- that’s not exactly what I’m thinking, but I don’t know any other way to write my thoughts. Maybe it’s been hard, but I have felt God’s grace all around. I have cried. My children have cried. I sat, with them all, in the blades of grass growing all around…

celebrating the 4th

Sweet summer memories…. Precious Jackson’s first slice of watermelon. We both were sticky- watching him eating watermelon would have been enough to make my whole day. (41. babies trying out their world for the first time…everything so amazing, so new)   Be still, my heart. Ribs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans……men in my kitchen.  Pure happiness.(42. family….how I love all…

home

As we go through our days, always striving to make this house more home, this quote was especially meaningful to me this morning: “it had a heart and a soul, and eyes to see with, and approvals and solicitudes and deep sympathies; it was of us, and we were in its confidence and lived in its grace and in the…

in the kitchen

this week’s Bible verse: Courtney, changes these out each week as she reads through her Bible. Each verse is usually a reflection of something happening in our lives. Beautiful encouragement from the Word.

A Door Closed….

A door closed…. That’s what Courtney entitled the post on her blog. Many of you know, she’s been in a courtship with a young man in recent months. Some weeks back, Paul started having some rather serious concerns. He was up many nights praying and thinking through things. At the same time, Courtney had been having some reservations of her…
