When Courtney found out I was posting some of our favorite recipes, she reminded me of this simple recipe! It is delicious and can be adapted for those who like sausage balls spicy or not so much.
We make these for the freezer in big batches in the fall. Our first sausage balls are cooked just for Christmas morning. It’s been a tradition in our home now for more than TEN years!
Turkey Sausage Balls
- 4lbs extra-sharp cheddar cheese (we always use CABOT…we don’t think there is any substitute!)
- 4lbs turkey sausage
- 8c bisquick mix
- 4t paprika
- 1 1/2t Texas Pete (again…no substitute!)
Mix ingredients in large bowl. Roll into walnut sized balls. Bake at 375^ for 10 minutes. Turn to opposite side and cook an additional 10 minutes. Yields 13 1/2 dozen balls.
What a perfect simple recipe. I love it when I find simple ideas to feed the kids. Thanks for sharing.
