Burt’s Bees

We’re getting a late start today…we’ve been up too late lately and I think everyone just needed a little extra sleep this morning…(not the case with me, I’ve just been holding the little one)!

We’re looking at a very full day. My friend, Kimberly, has offered to take some photographs of Emma for me this evening…I’m going to work today to get her clothing chosen and ironed. I hope that she cooperates!! Sometimes she gets a little grumpy as it gets closer to bedtime!

We started our three new skirts yesterday. These are very simple, just follow the directions, no pattern needed skirts. I’ll post a picture when we are done…I hope that it doesn’t take as long as the cloth napkins! : )

Paul is working on adding streaming video to our site (maybe within the week?). He asked me if this would be helpful ….I think it would be a great feature for teaching online tutorials on quilting, basic sewing etc.

Joshua has also been working away on one of our other websites…he spent the better part of yesterday afternoon working on it. I hope that it’s not too far from being launched! These things are all so exciting to me…it’s hard for me to wait! : )

Prayer Requests

Ever aware of the creeping, upcoming date of wisdom teeth removal, please pray that I will not worry too much over this, and that it will be quick and I’ll have a speedy recovery.

The ladies on the Lines Group….I think we’re all trying to get scheduling and planning done for our next school year. Please pray that we would all look to the Lord and not ourselves for the items he would like for us to schedule in (this is especially for me).

Today, I’m Thankful For

A bright sunny day.

Getting to spend some time with some friends this evening.

A good night’s sleep….I’m so very thankful for this one!!

We seem to be defeating the little ant problem that we’ve had in our home.

A surprise phone call from my friend Maribel this morning! This was a real treat!!

Tracy’s Task

Yesterday, I pulled out Emma’s tape and just sat in the floor video taping her playing and pulling up on the furniture around her. I was so excited to catch her babbling and clapping her little hands. I know that as this tape grows, it’s going to become a very special keepsake for our family.

Today, I’m going to journal at least one thing about each child in my home. It’s not going to be anything very elaborate, just the everyday things that they say or do.

What I’m Learning

I’m definitely developing my favorites where the cloth diapering is concerned. I like the bummi wrap covers and I really like my Mother’s Ease diapers. I did purchase a fuzzibuns but I haven’t yet used it…I’ll write an update as soon as I do.

I *LOVE,LOVE,LOVE* Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip balm (not the red capped one), and the Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream…..yesterday while I was having breakfast at the Cracker Barrel with Christy, I picked up the Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme….I was a little unsure at first because I don’t like products that leave your hands sticky. This one is very nice. It takes a minute to soak into your hands but like the lip balm for lips, once it does, your hands are soft for hours!

Today’s Scripture Meditation

Romans 5:1-8

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
