Book Review: Channing O’Banning

Tommy Nelson sent me a copies of two books from their new series:
Channing O’Banning.

This series has been written for children ages 6-10.

While the main character is a girl, both the girls and boys around these
ages read the books in my home.

The books are imaginative and weave lots of science and geography into the stories.

They are also easy to read, and a good introductions to “chapter books” for new readers.

At the end of each book are some additional sections.

The “Did You Know?” section is a list filled with quick facts relevant to the story. The Rainforest Rescue also had some ideas for saving the rainforest, and a short list of helpful websites related to the story.

I did not necessarily like that the main character was not respectful of her teacher and others.

For more information about this series, you can visit Channing O’Banning.com, (which is adorable!).

These opinions are entirely my own. I was given a copy of these books in return for my review but was not required to give a positive review.

  1. Thanks so much for your great review of my Channing O’Banning Series! I hope it encourages kids to love learning through drawing, and that parents enjoy presenting their kids with a fun character who is faith-filled as well as artistic and relatable. Thank you again! Hopefully more books will be coming!
