Various Ramblings

Wednesday, already? These weeks do fly by too quickly!

We are now on day 3 of our new schedule. So far, this morning, the children are buzzing around from place to place. We’ve had no real problems (This is a first! Normally, we have to re-do our schedule several times before we find something that works!) I don’t think anyone but Emma is minding the new schedule. She’s upset because she’s not on someone’s hip this morning…she’s parked in the playpen until her breakfast time in just a little bit.

Paul had a great meeting with an investor yesterday. It looks like the next step in the process is going to take a few weeks and then the next step will take a few additional weeks. At that point, Paul is supposed to meet with them again to discuss any future arrangements. This has been slow, slow, slow but I know that it is all in God’s timing and not ours.

Yesterday, I was so excited to finish a couple of the web features and bring them to life. Today, my priority is “making bread” in the ‘Making It Home’ section of the website. I hope that it will not take too long…I’ve already written the content and taken the pictures. My hold up is always the posting process. I’ve not gotten all of that figured out yet.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Jenny (one of the yahoo groups moms) and the job interview process that she and her husband are going through right now.

Continue to keep the Beutows in your prayers.

Pray for Paul as we take care of some legal lose ends associated with a couple of our businesses.

I had a really bad day yesterday. I know that we all have those days, yesterday was mine.

Today, I’m Thankful For

The schedule running so well.

My husband having sent me sweet emails a couple of times this week.

Scout plans through December almost complete.

Rain over the last few days.

Tracy’s Tasks

I’m going to take a picture of the front porch today and decide what needs to change. I’ve already printed my holiday planner sheets.

How are you coming with the holiday grand plan? Do you have ideas for making your porch more welcoming and warm for your family and friends?

What I’m Learning

My dentist gave my children a quick tip that I thought I would share here. They both brush and floss multiple times a day but one of them seems to have a tendency towards swollen and painful gums.

She told them both that if they would continue flossing and swish with a little warm salt water afterward, this problem would resolve itself.

Today’s Scripture Meditation

I came across this today as I was reading this morning during my devotion time. What an awesome scripture…this one may get taped up on a wall somewhere!

1 Pet 4:12-19
“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”
(NIV)

Wishing you a wonderful day,
