Earrings, Day 3b

Now that you’ve bent your wire, you are ready to make the loop that will attach to the ear wire itself.

To do this, you need to hold the beaded head pin in one hand and the earring tool in the other. Grab the head pin about 1/4″ from the (empty) end and use the earring tool to turn it. I usually hold it with the pointed wire away from me and use the tool to make a loop towards me. Anyway you do it, the end result should be a loop at the top. You may have to use your pliers to adjust it a bit. I try to get the pointed end to go down into the bead just a little. Be very careful here not to hold the wire too hard or you will put little dents into it and it will not be very pretty!

Tomorrow, we will finish this first pair of earrings and in days to come, I’ll try and post additional ideas for these same concepts.

Prayer Requests:

My daughter Courtney, who is in the process of beginning her own website, Buzz From The Bunch. Please pray that God will give her and my other children continued vision on developing their web space.

My Mom, to enjoy her vacation.

My sister-in-law, Melissa, who is sick this week.

Today, I’m Thankful For:

My Mom allowing us to use her car while she is on vacation.

The beautiful weather.

All of the work that we’ve gotten done in the house!

After last week, I’m really thankful for an empty laundry hamper!!

Having all my tax “stuff” finished, sorted, packed and filed away! Hurray!

What I’m Learning:

NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! Let your 2 year old son play behind you while you are working (sit him over to the side where you can keep an eye on him!). Just 20 minutes ago, I had a well planned entry for today and Ben reached over and rebooted my computer! UGH! He is so cute but he sure is busy!! Always save your work!

Today’s Scripture Meditation:

Prov 16:20
“Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.”
(NIV)

Trust in the Lord. Prosperity and blessings flow to those who listen and follow His path.
