First, mine:

“Paul and I have always STRONGLY encouraged our children to run for local offices. After much prayer and consideration Joshua, is officially announcing his campaign within our county. (Courtney Lambert, will also be up for re-election this year!). Please consider supporting him in the coming months with your prayers and by passing the word. Thank you!”

Now, Joshua:

“As I have now shared the following information with my local church, it’s time to make it Facebook / Google+ official. Today, I am announcing my campaign to run for and win the State Republican Executive Committee position representing our county in the state party. If I’m successful in this endeavor, the duties of my office would include influencing the policy of our party on a county and state level– the very policies that other candidates will run on if they identify themselves as a Republican in our area.

My campaign objective is simple: If you elect me, I will do my best to faithfully apply biblical law to every facet of government that I’ll influence. I will be held accountable to this objective by my family, local church, and the very constituents who elect me.

I look forward to the journey ahead. May God’s will be done through this election. If I win, my wish is to execute the duties of this office with integrity, discipline, and an ultimate objective of furthering the Kingdom of Christ.
