…and she’s 22!

I remember so well looking over at her under the baby warmer just moments after I had her. She was so beautiful. I could hardly believe she had come from me! (I think I say this every year, don’t I?)

She is 22 years old now. TWENTY-TWO! It’s hard to believe that many years have passed. How did THAT happen??!!

She is the picture of grace and is a polished cornerstone in her father’s home. I think each day is brighter because she is here. She is a blessing to all of us.

She and I spent much of the day together, yesterday. New cowboy boots ordered, we picked out the new little one’s coming home outfit, lunch at a local Mexican place, more shopping, and then the new Hunger Games movie (I don’t remember the last time we went to see a movie together!). Jessica baked peanut butter and chocolate cupcakes.

I thought it was a perfect day with my precious daughter. (Well, minus the torrential rain that left us both soaking wet.)

I woke up and prayed for her in the early morning hours. I pray the Lord will guide her path this next year.
