It was a bittersweet day.

My little baby, turning 1 year old this week.

My mama, was missing from our celebration.

We celebrated as we have with all of our other children.

So many years ago, she bought this panda bear cake pan. I think she may have first made it for one of my cousins, but we also have made it for each of my children on their first birthday. More than twenty years of birthdays.

It’s been a sweet part of our first birthdays. I think she would have loved seeing this little guy with his first cake.

Jackson is growing so big. He’s not quite walking yet, but he’s sooo close.

He is a wonderful baby and a blessing to our home. His special day is a precious memory for our family.
