Emma will tell you Friday is her *very favorite* day!

All the littles nap, and all the older children head to the local library for their weekly art class. It’s just Emma and I.

I try to think of something to fill this time each week. We generally have a snack. Sometimes, we read a book or work a craft project. She helps with my chores around the house, and we just enjoy the time.

Last week, I found a neat kit at the thrift store for a fleece blanket. She’s working her way through the squares and talking about where she will lay it when it’s finished.

I see this time in her life as being so very important. Children at this age are like a sponge- they can learn very quickly!! It’s a challenge (but a wonderful one!), to keep her mind active.
