POTD

Tracy / January 5, 2012

I have yet to write an explanation for my POTD- it stands for “Picture of the Day”.

I have spent the better part of this last year on research where scrapbooking is concerned. I’ve come to the conclusion with our family growing, re-working how I keep our memories would probably be a good idea.

I had heard of Becky Higgin’s Project Life, and I LOVE the idea, but for now, I’m reluctant to purchase materials. The reviews on the books themselves just aren’t that great. I don’t want to spend a lot and then realize the book is falling apart.

That said, I love the layout of the pages and the ability to keep memorabilia with our photos.

I’m still praying and reading. A friend shared some great links just this week (thanks, Sherri!), and I’ll let you know what I find.

One project I’ve seen over and over, that I really like is the Picture of the Day (you can read more about that HERE!). It’s an effort to photograph even the most mundane things in life knowing years from now, it will capture this time in your family life. Things like grocery carts, your mail, gas prices, etc. make great photos. So, this is what I’m attempting this year.

Of course, my camera battery broke this morning, so it may be a few days before I continue this project, but that really is life, right? Maybe I’ll take a picture of the old battery when the new battery comes in!! *smile*
