Strawberries, Strawberries

Good afternoon!

My name is Courtney, I’m 14, and also the oldest of this bunch. My mom is feeling a bit under the weather today, so, I am filling in for her.

Today, we have gotten over 6 loads of laundry done….whoo hoo! The laundry line is such a lifesaver! I personally enjoy going out there to hang the laundry up so that I can enjoy God’s beautiful creation. What an artist!

We are preparing to put up four buckets of strawberries in the freezer and of course to eat some raw. I love strawberries and there’s nothing like them over biscuits or pancakes! Yum! We can’t seem to keep any in the house……………….JOSHUA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Who likes to steal 6 at a time!!) (He says he’s BORROWING!!!) We have pretty much finished now. They are about put away. The strawberry shortcake was wonderful!!!!

Today, being a Friday, we are cleaning up the house and preparing for the weekend….we still have a teensy wheensy way to go! : ) I am not really sure how the house gets messed up so fast! I got my zone, the kitchen, nice and tidy though! Yes! The zones and buddy systems are probably some of the best things we have instituted in the last couple of years. The zones are simple. Everybody is in charge of a room (Courtney: Kitchen, Joshua: Living room, Jacob: Bathrooms, Jessica: Laundry Room, Matthew: Halls, Timothy: Kitchen Set,etc.) so if Mom says “Clean your zones!” the house is instantaneously clean in about half an hour.

Our prayer requests:

My family. We have had almost $2,800 in car repairs since January. Also that our businesses will grow and prosper.

Mrs. Buetow sent this one:
“please pray for my aunt faye…her husband cecil’s body is shutting down………he has a 16 dd who doesn’t even know her birth mom……..”

My Scripture Meditation:

Ephesians 6 (New International Version)

Children and Parents
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

I have personally felt so blessed obeying my parents. It gives you a satisfactory feeling inside knowing that you haven’t done something they would not approve of. In fact, the Bible says that if you obey your parents, you will have a long life!!!!!!!How cool is that????!!

I need to go for now!
