Looking Your Best

I mentioned yesterday that the MIH group that I belong to has had a “de-cluttering yourself” mission going over the last week. We were asked to take a ‘before’ picture of ourselves. Reluctantly, this is mine. (It’s much easier to lurk in the shadows!) We were also told to investigate our body type and coloring so that we might know colors and styles that look the best on us. I thought I might pass along that website information…every woman should look her best.

I’m still working on figuring one of these out! I know my body type, but as a child when I had my color analysis done I was told that I was a Summer with Spring hair! How confusing is that?! I’m going to go back and read through these so that I can get more of a clarification.

Prayer Requests:

I am STILL battling this bug that I’ve had. It’s more of an annoyance that anything else, but I’m ready to be done with it!

My Mom’s car is acting up. The garage that she takes it to has had a string of things they’ve repaired for her in the last few weeks…none of them permanent fixes. She is still having trouble with it going dead.

Paul would be able to find enough hours in his day to finish the things that he has pressing right now.

Today, I’m Thankful For:

My sunflowers that are now almost all as tall as my two year old!

The time that I’m going to find today, to finish my cloth napkins.

My children learning to make Chocolate Mousse in their Home-Ec coop last night…yum, yum, yum is all I can say!

The sound of my sweet little person sleeping in her crib at night. I love to hear her breathing. She is such a blessing and so special to me.

Spring rains that are supposed to fall today to water all of my growing, still unidentifiable little plants.

Tracy’s Task:

I’m not going to give you another holiday planner mission just yet. You need to organize what you have and be thinking about what is special to you about the holidays. It seems that sometimes we are so used to celebrating our holidays a particular way, we never stop to think about what actually makes them special. Doing this will allow you to cut out the “fluff”…all the things you do just because of tradition and celebrate just the parts that are special. You’ll find that de-cluttering, even this part of your life, will lend to a much less stressful holiday.

What I’m Learning:

I had a terrible headache last evening and decided to try one of those “HEAD ON” rollers. That thing is AWESOME!! It looks like a glue stick but it has a roller like roll on deodorant. You simply roll it across your head and within 10 minutes you start feeling a cool sensation, almost like someone has placed an ice pack on your head. It’s all natural…and it worked! Much faster than ordinary medicine would have! If you haven’t tried it yet, you should!

Today’s Scripture Meditation:

Ps 139:23-24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
(NIV)
