In His Hand

This morning I am waking up feeling much better than yesterday but I’m still tired and my head still isn’t feeling quite right!

I would never wish a migraine on anyone. The pain alone is enough to send you straight to bed for a day but add to that blurred vision and nausea and it’s really awful. I long for a time that I don’t have to experience them ever again!!

On my list of prayer requests this morning…

My hubby will be traveling for a little bit this week ….we would like for him to be home soon!

My aunt and her family…they’ve had some illness and some surgeries scheduled. I know that they are ready for good health for a while!

Our piano teacher who is expecting her first child this year.

Our praise report…

We are almost ready to move in to our web spot! Paul was up until after 2 this morning continuing to put together Lines From The Vine. This morning when I got up, he announced that he was finished…we only have to add in a few more features and links for it to be totally complete. I’m so excited!! Ministry has always been at the heart of who I am and I think this just gives my family one more avenue.

Hopefully, tomorrow, we’ll be a fully functional site!

Our neighbors gave us some outside play equipment yesterday. Bats, balls and golf clubs…my children are really enjoying them.

Miss Emma is doing very well beginning solid foods. This morning, we began to introduce a breakfast meal. She seemed to enjoy it very much.

What I’m learning this week:

That a little goes a long way….I’ve mentioned before that if you can just work a little every day toward getting one part of your life organized, it can really make a difference. Yesterday, I shared that I’ve been working on pictures. I’ve also been working on my sewing supplies. I can’t tell you what a good feeling it is to see these areas so well organized. They are things that have bothered me for so long…I was always very concerned that my pictures were going to be messed up and I haven’t been able to find my sewing supplies when I’ve needed them. VERY aggravating. Now, everything has it’s own place and it really makes me feel better about life in general.

Today’s scripture meditation is the following:

Isaiah 64:8

“Yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.”

We’ve been making play dough today. It’s a lot of fun to work with children and watch them as the things they create within their little minds come to life.

As I watch my children twist and turn their little creations, they are careful to tweak every little part…they make it into what they want it to be. They cut away the parts that are unnecessary to their final work and mold the rest into a perfect design. The process isn’t easy…it takes time and thought to turn out this work of art. Sometimes it’s surprising to watch the unexpected design changes.

So we are in the hand of our maker. Growth, change and development are never easy. It’s hard to remember that we aren’t the ones in control.

Our only job is to keep our eyes on the Father and know that He is in control. He knows what is best…He knows everything about us…even more than we know about ourselves. We are the work of His hand. It is his job to shape us and mold us into what He wants us to be.

Sometimes this is hard and sometimes we don’t understand why He would lead us down a particular path but we just have to trust. We have to have faith that He knows what is best.

Today, as the Lord leads you down your life’s path, remember to thank Him for the blessings that He has given you and remember that there is always a purpose and always a plan for your life.
