Jacob’s New Pet
This little guy landed on Jacob’s shoulder while he was outside yesterday: We have a new love for hummingbirds now…my little ones were fascinated! This is one more reason why I love homeschooling…this is where real teaching happens.
When the Chicken is Dirty….
What else do you do?? I walked into my guest bathroom to find this yesterday: *sigh* Boys. Boys. Boys. What more is there to say?? Jacob decided his rooster was dirty and needed a bath. Amazingly, the chicken didn’t peck him. He stayed very still…who knows maybe he enjoyed the whole thing. Jacob was proud afterward– the chicken now smells…

We have been so blessed! A friend offered a basket of pears from her tree. We’ve been busy making jelly and preserves: Yummy! I love pear preserves, especially on Joshua’s fresh biscuits.

Lost and Found
Our family has been so blessed recently by visitors, we’ve started our own “lost and found”. It’s goofy, I know, but I love all of these folks. It’s nice to have them here! These little reminders just make the day extra special. : )
Friday Storm
Friday, a storm passed though that knocked our power off for a few hours. I felt myself beginning to grumble as we lit candles, and looked for a radio.
