I saw this note left for the family today regarding the progress of the new flooring: It’s looking great! I can’t wait to post pictures. This will be the 5th room we’ve finished with plywood-to-plank flooring.

Pinterest Projects
Woohoo! I found a winning Pinterest project. This one was just a little toothpaste on the front headlight to clean them. Check out the left from the right. I would say this one is a keeper! (Thank you Courtney, for trying this idea out for me!)
Happy 2013!
Happy New Year, my dear friends and family! How has your year been, thus far?? We’ve had a mixed bunch of events…both pleasant, and not so much. Monday started for us on a good note. I sat with my planner and began the start of our yearly goals and organization. A productive day, and full of excitement for me– I…
It’s Here!
It’s going to be nice to travel as a family again.
Window Whimsy
I’m trying to pay a lot more attention to details in my home these days. It’s the little things that my children and husband will remember when they are away, and the little things that make me smile when I think of home. I started telling Courtney I wanted to hang Christmas lights in my bedroom about a year ago…

Homemade Laundry Soap
O.K. friends! After hearing so many of you raving about your homemade detergent, I’m taking the plunge. I picked up some Zote soap and got the boys to work, grating. (Meredith watched.) Next, I mixed a cup each of washing soda and borax. According to what I’ve read, I should only need 1T of detergent for each load of laundry.…

This week, inspired by this post, we set up a de-cluttering schedule. 40 Bags in 40 Days is a quick and simple way to rid your home of unnecessary clutter!! Want to join us? 😉 My sweet girl…
Emergency Preparation
Preparing for an emergency is never an easy task for a family of any size, but it is really a project for this many folks! Back in April, we had no power for 5 days. I was grateful it wasn’t cold….you can always live without the air conditioning. No heat? Well, that becomes a totally different story– especially with little…
