Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

I’ve been posting some of our favorite cookie recipes in preparation for holiday parties. These cookies always disappear when we take them to a gathering. They are a substantial, delicious cookie!

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

(Adapted from Whole Foods for the Whole Family)

  • 1/2c packed, brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4c water
  • 1t vanilla
  • 1c wheat flour
  • 1/2c dry milk powder
  • 1/4t salt
  • 1/2t baking soda
  • 1t ground cinnamon
  • 2c rolled oats
  • 1c wheat germ
  • 1 8oz bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Beat oil, brown sugar, egg, water and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Add flour, dry milk powder, soda and cinnamon; mix well. Mix in oats, wheat germ and chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350^ for 10-12 minutes or until light brown.

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

Like most families, our littles *love* to help momma in the kitchen. This recipe is a favorite for our littles in the kitchen and so easy, our beginning cooks can handle it with ease.

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 c Peanut Butter
  • 1c Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1t Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350^.

Mix all ingredients well. Spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto the baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork (to create criss-cross design). Bake 8 minutes.
